Comedian Bobby Ball went down a storm as he took centre stage at a Christian cabaret in Chippenham.
The entertainer, half of the highly successful comedy duo Cannon and Ball, who became a Christian in 1986, performed at the Cabaret Connexion event on July 14.
Event organiser Dave Halls said: "The night was a huge success and a perfect example of just how far religion has moved on since the eighteenth century.
"Bobby was a knock-out and even when he discussed serious topics we knew a joke wasn't far off.
"We had 160 people laughing and joking, which is what faith is all about.
"People seem to forget we have more people attending church on a Sunday than people going to football matches on a Saturday in this country."
The show, which was held at the Neeld Hall, forms part of the programme of events for the group which aims to promote Christianity to younger people.
