A FEMALE Tesco delivery driver was assaulted by a man in a random attack earlier this month.
The incident happened on Saturday, September 16 at around 8.30pm in Westcott Place.
Although shaken, the woman was unhurt.
Police say the man is described as a white, in his 40s, approximately five foot tall, slim, unshaven and with a local accent.
It is understood he was wearing a blue baseball cap, a white puffa jacket, yellow high visibility trousers with black footwear.
PC Jamie Brown said: "The victim was wearing a Tesco uniform and was driving a Tesco delivery van so would have been very visible.
"Did you see this person and their van in this area at this time? Did you hear or see anything suspicious at the time?
"We'd like to speak to anyone who can help with our investigation in anyway."
Anyone who can help police with their enquiries should contact PC Jamie Brown on 101 or anonymously, via Crimestoppers, on 0800 555 111.
