DESPITE dropping their first points of the season, a 2-2 draw for Stockton & Codford at home to Warminster Town Reserves took them top of the Division One table for the first time ever.

The villagers  led 2-0 at the break through Nathan Salmon's second-minute effort and Brandan Hind’s 17th-minute goal.

Warminster turned things around in the second with James Vincent’s penalty reducing the arrears before Carl Clarke netted the leveller.

Just two weeks after Calne Eagles suffered a 6-1 loss at the hands of Luxol St Andrews, Roy Wenham’s side claimed a 2-1 win to inflict Luxol with their first defeat of the season.

Sam Rogers gave Eagles the lead which was wiped by Tom Rooney’s first-half equaliser.

Harry Ozut proved to be the match winner for Calne when he made the most of a lapse in concentration in the Luxol defence to net Eagles' second.

A 5-1 victory for Freshford United over Hilperton United saw Chris Birleson’s side avoid a third straight defeat.

Dave Percival, Eddie Katumba, Sam Phillips, Frankie Elliott and Harrison Amor netted for Freshford, Adam Sheppard's penalty proving a consolation.

Defending champions Melksham Town A are still hunting their first win of the new campaign after they were held to a third successive draw, this time 2-2 with near-neighbours Semington Magpies.

Semington led 2-1 at the break as goals from Richard Allum and Antony Lamb sandwiched Dan Moore’s effort for Melksham but Tom Staddon bagged Melksham a deserved point.
