THREE young girls made sure there were no soggy bottoms when they organised a cake sale to raise money for Wiltshire Air Ambulance.

The sale at Trinity Primary in Devizes on Friday raised £110 to help keep the helicopter flying.

Mum Lisa Slater, who volunteers for the charity, helped inspire her daughter Jasmine to do some fundraising during National Air Ambulance week which took place from September 11.

Jasmine got her Year 5 friends Alice Wilson and Lilia Cox to help with the organising and the school also got right behind the sale.

On Friday air ambulance mascot Wilber helped drum up business and two paramedics also dropped in to help support the fundraiser.

Mrs Slater said: "The cake sale went very well. They raised an amazing £110 for the Air Ambulance."

Executive head Andrew Wilson said he was delighted his pupils had wanted to do something to support the air ambulance.

A number of schools, nurseries and businesses across the area joined in Bake Off for Lift Off, the charity’s theme for Air Ambulance Week, by holding cake sales and picnics.
