TRAINS running to and from London Paddington were delayed after a train was derailed on Sunday.

Disruption was expected to continue until the end of today, says National Rail Enquiries, although the train has now been removed and platform two is now being repaired.

Platform two is due to reopen tomorrow.

"Trains may be cancelled or delayed by up to 20 minutes," said a spokesman early this morning.

"Please use the National Rail Enquiries real-time Journey Planner to check your journey before you travel.

"If you would like to follow this incident on Twitter, please use #Paddington."

Network Rail has described the incident as a partial derailment yesterday when a high-speed service was leaving Padddington, putting two platforms out of use.
