TWO ‘larger than life’ ladies from West Wiltshire are showing the UK they have more than got what it takes to be a pageant queen.
Laura Spencer and Lyndsay Mizen are among 26 finalists in the first Miss Voluptuous UK pageant taking place on Saturday September 2.
Laura, 35, from Bradford on Avon, said: “There are many amazing and inspirational women taking part and it’s just an honour to be among them.”
Lyndsay, 37, from Semington, was encouraged by her friend Laura to enter.
She said: “The pageant seemed to be the perfect opportunity to present myself and my causes in to the world.”
The Miss Voluptuous pageant provides an opportunity for size 14+ women across the country to share their ideas and visions for the future.
Each of the 26 finalists at the Belfry Hotel in Cambourne, Cambridge, will be given a platform to raise awareness of the charities they are supporting.
