CASH and cannabis were seized from a house in Calne during a police raid this morning, Tuesday, July 18.
An address on Anson Avenue was raided at about 8.45am by officers from the local Community Policing Team, Local Priority Team, and the Tri-Force and dog unit.
Officers found a stash of cannabis and about £3,000 in cash, but there was nobody in the house.
PC James Isaac said: “Although unfortunately nobody was inside, we have been able to seize a large amount of cash and herbal cannabis, preventing it from getting on to the streets of Calne.
“Our enquiries are ongoing in relation to this warrant. We would encourage any residents who suspect drug activity to be taking place in their neighbourhood to contact 101 – working on intelligence and information from the community is key to tackling this type of crime.”
To report drug activity call 101, or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 where information can be left anonymously if preferred.
