A 14-YEAR-OLD girl from Lacock, who was diagnosed with a very rare form of cancer last year, had her wish to meet American Horror Story actor Evan Peters granted by the Starlight Children's Foundation.

Amber Haney, who has had three different types of chemotherapy and radiotherapy to fight her nasopharyngeal carcinoma, a tumour in her nose, met her favourite actor in Hollywood in April.

Amber, had pains in her face for more than six months before the tumour was spotted by a ear, nose and throat specialist in April last year.

It was confirmed as a grade three to four tumour but she has taken the treatment in her stride.

Amber has done amazingly," her mum Su said. "The treatment was so harsh and she had to have a peg fitted to eat and drink. She just got on with it and didn’t moan once. She is such a star.

"The last two MRI scans revealed that there is no active tissue left and her consultant says it’s stable.”

The 14-year-old, who has always loved horror films, watched American Horror Story during her stay in hospital and quickly became obsessed with the show and its lead actor Evan Peters, who also appeared in Kick-Ass and X-Men.

While she was in hospital, she was offered the chance to have a wish granted by Starlight and the 14-year-old didn't have to think twice about who she wanted to meet.

Just weeks later the family were on a flight to Hollywood where they met the actor for lunch.

It was an emotional experience for Amber, who also presented the star with a t-shirt which she had printed especially for him.

"I'm so happy that I chose to meet Evan Peters," she said. "He is the most amazing man and it was really an unforgettable experience. Thank you so much Starlight."

Mum Su added: “Evan is such a kind, wonderful person. He is so down to earth and really went above and beyond to make Amber’s Starlight Wish so special.”
