I CANNOT understand why you have had to stop putting the what’s on listings in the Gazette as there are several whole page adverts in this week’s paper of things that are taking place. Putting things online only is sheer discrimination against people who do not have access to the internet.
Regardless of what people think, it was on TV recently that there are still well over a million people in this country without access to it. I have reached the age of 70 with just a telephone or a writing pad for communication and I don’t see why I should change now.
Also, if the majority of people have computers and all the other gadgets, how do they afford them when we hear that one in eight working people are living in poverty?
I have bought the Gazette nearly all my life, but maybe I shall have to buy a different paper in future and patronise some of the events which are taking place a little further away from the Devizes area. There are many things you could have left out of the Gazette which are of no interest.
