WITH reference to Gareth Milner’s letter last week, I understand that Mr Milner remains an active member of the party which continually referenced a vote for any major party other than themselves as a vote for a ‘coalition of chaos’. That particular strapline doesn’t look too snappy now.
Or maybe Mr Milner thinks that Conservatives should be above scrutiny, and it’s unfair to point out during an election campaign the effects that their currently proposed policies would have?
I’m proud to have fought a positive campaign based on our national manifesto pledges, including extra funding for schools and health, and on the personal qualities I had to offer from my experience in business and civil liberties work.
While I would have liked to have won, I retained a good second place and we remain ready to challenge for the seat whenever the next General Election is called.
