I HAD cause on Monday to call at the Lansdowne Surgery in Devizes to make an appointment to see my doctor.
Despite my regular GP being away on maternity leave, thus in all probability meaning the practice was short-handed, I am able to be seen at 10.50am on Wednesday of this week.
Delighted, I went home and made a call to the Central Appointments Department in Salisbury to try to make follow up appointment to see my osteopath. To my utter delight and amazement I was informed that if I could make my way to White Horse Medical Centre, in Westbury, I could be seen on Wednesday afternoon, again this week.
I really feel that the media and moaning minnies of our society should realise how fortunate we all are to have the safety net of our flawed but nonetheless peerless National Health Service.
