POLICE have released CCTV images to try and track down two men who were part of a group attack in Trowbridge that hospitalised a man.

Police are calling for help after group of men approached a 33-year-old man in The New Deli, Church Street, and proceeded to punch him in the head and kick him several times - he was then taken to Bath's Royal United Hospital for treatment.

The suspects ran from the scene along the lane next to Cinnamon Lounge. CCTV footage has been seized by the police as part of its investigation and most of those involved have been spoken to.

Two men, aged 25 and 35, from Trowbridge, were arrested on suspicion of affray and have been released under investigation.

PC Rachel Winter, of Central CID, said: "We believe we have spoken to most of those involved however we would like the public’s help to identify the two men pictured. We would like to speak to them in connection with this incident.

"I understand that there were a number of other people in the shop at the time of the incident who could have vital information for our investigation.

"Anyone with information should call police on 101, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."

The incident happened shortly after 9pm on April 1.
