CAT lover Zoe Stiles is to jump out of a plane strapped to a Red Devil to raise money for a charity close to her heart.

Housing consultant Mrs Stiles, 41, who has two pampered Siamese cats at her home in Bishops Cannings, near Devizes will raise money for Cats Protection when she takes part in a tandem jump at Old Sarum on August 8.

She said: "I love cats and I suppose you could say they are my substitute children. I have a seal point called Reckless Wilfred and a red tabby point called Arthur SunKing.

"Arthur has a very loud mouth, is absolutely bonkers and very demanding, whilst Wilf is very laid back, calm and unusually quiet for a Siamese. "They are obviously very privileged and are not re-homed cats, so I like to do what I can to help Cats Protection as not all cats are this lucky.

"I would like to give massive thanks to all those who have donated so far helping me smash my £500 target. This includes cash from my employer, housing and affordable housing consultants, Pioneer Property Services who have made a huge donation.

"However, every additional penny counts and if anyone else wishes to support this very good cause this would be so amazing. I am not taking my jump fee out of the money raised, but will be paying this myself."

Mrs Stiles said she is not scared of heights and is looking forward to the jump. She said: "I have done paragliding before and I am a bit of an adrenaline junky."

She is fully committed to the work of Cats Protection which helps to keep the feline population in check by offering neutering. She said: "This keeps populations healthy and helps to prevent unplanned kittens.

"Cats can reproduce prolifically if left unchecked so this work massively benefits both cats and humans. Without Cats Protection undertaking this valuable work I am not sure who would be there to do it instead."
