BOYS and girls from 6th Devizes Cubs learned about healthy eating and exercise when they had pack meeting with a difference thanks to a Devizes cafe.

The youngsters went to Infusion Juice Bar in Monday Market Street and were told the benefit of a healthy diet and keeping fit.

Leader Scott Coleman said: "Upon arrival we found tables set up with various chopped up fruit and veg for the Cubs to munch on. I’m happy to say they were all empty by the end of the evening.

"The cubs were told the importance of a healthy lifestyle and then they went outside to the back yard to do a range of exercises."

Afterwards they were given a lesson on the digestive system and were allowed to ask questions before trying their hand at making drinks.

Cub Jenson Greenstreet said: "I loved it because we got to make our own juices." Rufus Pitt added: "It was really good and I most enjoyed eating the fruit at the start."

Harry Mundy said: "I loved the trip to the juice bar and I am trying to persuade my mum to buy me a juicer I learnt that you can't juice a banana but that you can juice celery"

Zac Leigh was convinced by some of the drink ingredients. He said: "Someone juiced celery and that was horrible. I chose Pear which was much nicer."

Mr Coleman thanked everyone at the juice bar for making the trip possible.
