A centre in Devizes which makes it possible for children from broken homes to see a parent in a safe setting is back up and running after a short closure caused by a lack of volunteers.
The Devizes Child Contact Centre has resumed sessions at St Andrew's Church in Long Street for existing families after people came forward to join the committee at an annual meeting.
But a new paid for co-ordinator is still needed to take over from September and to be available to shadow work during the summer. The new committee is drawing up a job specification but anyone interested would need to be able to work flexibly including some Saturdays.
Kath Saunders, who was the original co-ordinator when the service started 17 years ago and is still a supporter, said: "We are delighted with the progress we’ve made."
Anyone who would like to volunteer or find out more about the co-ordinator role should email devizeschildcontactcentre@yahoo.com
