SAINSBURY'S managers Julian Collier and Matt Thompson led by example when they sat in chilly red gloop in a paddling pool for Red Nose day on Friday.
Store manager Mr Collier and fresh food manager Mr Thompson raised around £180 with their endeavours. Elsewhere in the store staff dressed in their pyjamas or onesies and paid for the privilege while others bought cakes made by colleagues. One of the biggest fundraisers was a stall of pre loved goods which raised £400.
Mr Collier said: "It was a brilliant event and both staff and customers were very generous. We hope to have raised at least £700 in total."
