COMMUNITY tourism group Calne Our Place are putting their town on the map for Visit England's national English Tourism Week with an evening of local dining and entertainment at the newly refurbished Lansdowne Strand.
Guests to the All About Calne event, held at the hotel on March 30, will be treated to a buffet supper including products and recipes from the Calne and Wiltshire area while enjoying local speakers and a quiz.
Calne Our Place volunteer and local resident Jennifer Dunthorne said: “Calne Our Place has been working for two years to celebrate what Calne can offer to visitors, including its heritage as the home of Wiltshire Cured Ham. We invite all to join us for an enjoyable evening with opportunities to taste local produce and learn something new about our wonderful town.”
Tickets for the All About Calne event can be purchased for £15 from the Calne Visitor and Information Centre, Calne Community Hub and Library and www.booking.calnewiltshire.com.
