CAPTIVATED by black and white films growing up, Marc Forester from Calne grew his passion for collecting film memorabilia into a thriving global business.

The 44-year-old film fanatic, who lives with his girlfriend Kelly and two-year-old daughter Azaria in Zander Road, decided to sell original posters under the name Timeless Movie Magic after making contacts in the memorabilia industry.

He said: "I have always been a fan of old black and white movies and I used to watch them with my great nan and then as I got older I wanted to get some memorabilia. I had a quick browse and I managed to locate an original poster from one of the films I loved and that was in 2001.

"Since then I have collected more and more, and met people at conventions and shows and as my collection got bigger. I began to sell and swap them and thought 'I could make a businesses out of this'. I began trading in 2005 and now we have items on the website ranging from £2 to £2,000."

Despite sticking to classical films, Mr Forester has made a name for himself, reaching all four corners of the globe and selling to the stars himself.

"I have sold to lots of countries including New Zealand, Australia, Peru, Japan and Brazil and I would like to think I am well known in the UK and America," he said. "America is huge when it comes to memorabilia and I have made loads of contacts over there. I have sold a cast and crew jacket from the James Bond film The World Is Not Enough and I've sold a poster of Party Party from 1983 to Perry Fenwick, who plays Billy Mitchell in EastEnders.

"The most expensive thing I have ever sold though was a signed photograph of Vivien Leigh, as Scarlett O'Hara in Gone with the Wind, and that was for £4,000. I came across it on eBay I think and I paid about £250 for it and kept hold of it for quite some time."

Ten years on, Mr Forester has filled a warehouse with thousands of items in the hopes of passing on his passion and love of film to other film fanatics searching the web for an affordable bit of movie magic.
