A MAN who kicked, yanked and strangled a dog is to be sentenced next week.
Hywell Clay, 47, of Radnor Court, Faringdon, pleaded not guilty to being drunk and disorderly in a public place and to causing unnecessary harm to a dog by was found guilty by magistrates sitting in Chippenham.
The court heard how he had kicked, yanked and strangled the dog on November 5, the same date he was convicted of being drunk and disorderly in the car park of Tesco Extra in Ocotal Way, Swindon.
He also denied missing a court appearance on March 1 in Chippenham. He will be sentenced on March 20.
