FIRE crews were called out Malmesbury after a lorry's fuel tank ruptured causing 40 litres to spill out onto the road.
The crew from Malmesbury rushed out to The Street, Malmesbury, at 4.17am on Sunday (February 26) morning to assist the lorry driver.
The crews helped to contain the 40-litre fuel leak and prevented it from reaching the nearby river.
A spokesman from Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue said: "We were called out just after 4am due to a leak in a lorry's fuel tank. Most of the fuel soaked into the mud and no water courses were affected. The stop came at 5.05am."
Crews also helped the lorry driver change a burst tyre.
