KENYAN tea producer Patrick Kaberia Muthaura will be at a Devizes primary school on March 3 to lead workshops as part of Fairtrade Fortnight.

Mr Muthaura will hope to inspire youngsters from all over Devizes, who will be invited to Trinity School for the workshop, about how their choices can affect the lives of poor farmers. He will tell the children how Fairtrade has made a huge difference to the lives of tea farmers in his home country.

St James Church in Devizes will be holding a Fairtrade Break between its two Sunday service on March 12 when Fairtrade drinks, cakes and biscuits will be served between 10.20am and 11am. A Traidcraft stall will sell other Fairtrade goods.

On April 1 another Fairtrade Break and stall will be held at the Quaker Meeting House, Devizes between 10am and noon.

Mr Muthaura will also speak at the Pound Arts, Corsham from 10am-1pm on at Calne Town Hall and Marlborough Town Hall at 6.30pm on March 4 and at County Hall, Trowbridge from 3pm on March 7.
