THREE men are wanted by police after attempting to rob a 16-year-old boy in Chippenham.

The victim was walking along the pathway between the Emery Gate multi-storey car park and the River Avon at 4.30pm on Friday, when he was approached by three men.

The men demanded the victim hand over money, but after he refused the trio ran off in the direction of the rear of the car park.

Detective constable Paula Manley said: “Luckily no one was hurt as a result of this incident, but we are keen to hear from anyone who has any information that may assist with our enquiries.

“This is a fairly busy pathway in the town centre, especially at this time of the day as people are finishing work and may be returning to the car park.”

All three men are described as white, aged between 25-30-years-old, and approximately 6 feet tall.

The first man was of average build, with dark shaven hair and was wearing a black windbreaker style jacket, black jogging bottoms and black shoes.

The second male was of muscular build and was wearing a grey hoody, black jogging bottoms and black trainers.

The third male was of muscular build and had blonde hair swept backwards. He was wearing dark clothing and Nike trainers.
