ADVENTURER Sir David Hempleman-Adams will be in Devizes on April 7 to give a lecture about climate change and the Arctic.

Sir David, who is High Sheriff of Wiltshire, will give a talk called The Polar Ocean Challenge at the town hall from 7.30pm to fundraise for Wiltshire Archaeological and Natural History Society.

He is one of most experienced explorers in the world and last year led an expedition to circumnavigate the North Paul in one summer season which aimed to put the spotlight on climate change in the sea ice landscape of the Arctic.

Tickets costing £15, or £13 for society members, are now on sale via the website of Wiltshire Museum on www.wiltshiremuseum.org.uk/events
