A PENHILL man who had been accused of being part of an alleged assault in which a man was said to be stabbed has admitted a public order offence.
Mattie Lyon had been due to face trial alongside his older brother after pleading not guilty to a charge of attempting to cause grievous bodily harm with intent.
But the 21-year-old, of Ramsbury Avenue, was brought back before Swindon Crown Court where he admitted an alternative count of affray.
Judge Tim Mousley QC released him on bail until saying he would be sentenced after 26-year-old Jack, of the same address, has stood trial.
He has also pleaded not guilty to the GBH charge after he was alleged to have plunged a screwdriver into the chest of John Lamb on Sunday, June 28, 2015.
