THE executive committee of an action group set up to get a developer to adopt roads in Devizes has met for the first time to discuss strategy.
The David Wilson Homes Action Group heard that some lighting on Hillier Road, Franklyn Road, White Horse Way and Combe Walk has now been repaired but members were not impressed.
Chairman David Bellis said: "We had near-zero confidence this meant the roads would be adopted. We’ll make an announcement early next week about the way forward, but the strategy is professional, assertive, and springs from an informed base. What’s happened on these roads amounts to a sustained policy of planned inaction and neglect. That will now end."
