THESPIANS from Cherhill Village Theatre have been busy putting the final touches to the eagerly anticipated production of Three Blind Mice which promises to put an unusual twist on pantomime traditions.

The troupe, who will be put through their paces at the dress rehearsal next week, have been entertaining villagers for more than 30 years, something which they hope to continue this year.

Producer Maggie Moore said: "We started rehearsing in October and it is going brilliantly of course! The show has been written by Mitch Angel who used to live in the village and she is also directing it.

"It will is still a very traditional pantomime but not the usual story that everyone knows like Cinderella. There will still be the baddy, the booing, the hissing and of course a dame!

"It is very much a community event and I have just finished writing the list of people who have been helping behind the scenes and there are dozens. We would love to see lots of new faces and for such a small village it is a very professional."

Although tickets for the second matinee have sold out, there are still a few remaining for the first matinee on Saturday, January 28 or the evening performances at 7.30pm from January 26-28 and February 2-4.

Tickets, which cost £7 for adults and £5 for children, can be purchased from the the box office on 07522 653256 or cherhillpanto@hotmail.com.
