MUMS were on target for a fundraising cause when they took on their children at football on Saturday.

Parents of Devizes U7s were at the football club in Nursteed Road for a fun morning aimed at raising cash for winter indoor training.

Manager Tom Scott-Kelly said: "With winter approaching I thought it would be good if we could find somewhere to train away from the cold and rain so decided to organise a fundraiser.

"Mums took part in a match against their children and dads were also there supporting the fundraising."

At the moment the team, which has about 18 youngsters on its books, trains outdoors at the weekend and takes part in a non-competitive league.

Mr Scott-Kelly said: "It was a fun morning and we also organised food."

The squad was also looking particularly smart thanks to new kit provided by RJT Groundworks Services and Sydenhams.

The morning raised £115.
