TRADERS in Sidmouth Street were in the pink to raise money for a breast cancer charity.

Among those joining in the fun to do their bit for Breast Cancer Awareness last week were staff at Roses ironmongers including co-owner Ed Giles who put on a tutu as he took part in a dance routine.

He was delighted with the response from customers who donated £120. He said: "We were ballet dancers complete with tutus. We danced around Roses on Thursday to much acclaim. Customers thought it was wonderful."

Joining Mr Giles in the unusual attire were Julie Smith, Judy Cotton, Linda Kingsbury,Veronica Seedhouse and Pam Littlewood.

Down the road Blue Sky Computing underwent a colour change to fit the pink theme. The staff dressed in pink t-shirts and collected donations for the charity from customers as well as making a donation from takings.
