A new activity afternoon aimed at people with dementia has been been launched in Devizes by Alzheimers Wiltshire.
The first class was held last week when Paul Ashley led the Movement for the Mind session in the town and got an enthusiastic response. It will now be run of a fortnightly basis at The Quaker Meeting Room, Sussex Wharf.
Kate Sharp from Alzheimers Wiltshire said: "Movement for the Mind is a gentle physical activity club for people with dementia and their carers to enjoy together.
"Each fortnight we try a different form of exercise, including creative dance, circle dance, tai chi, gentle exercise or a countryside walk. All the sessions are led by practitioners who are also trained in dementia care."
The sessions will be held on Tuesday afternoons from 2pm to 3.45pm on November 1, November 15, December 6 and December 20.
