AN access road to some car parks at the Royal United Hospital in Bath is shut.

The road to the right of the main entrance roundabout is closed from today until Wednesday, August 10, while essential work is carried out during construction of the hospital’s new 300-space car park, which is due to open in September.

Access to the main entrance drop-off point, bus stops, Blue Badge car park, car park 1A and the Princess Anne maternity wing car park (P4) will not be affected.

For all other car parks on site, patients, visitors and staff will have to use the Penn Hill Road entrance.

Diversion and information signs will be in place and the hospital has apologised for any inconvenience caused to visitors or patients.
