CHARITY Barnardo’s celebrated their 150th anniversary in Chippenham at the weekend, as a family fun day was held at the Redland Nursery.
Founded by Thomas Barnardo, the charity helps children in the UK regardless of gender, age or race and has supported thousands across the decades.
Taking place on Saturday (May 21) from 10am-noon at the nursery, located on Brook Street, those who attended the fun day had the chance to take part in a range of activities.
This included the chance to get up close with animals including rabbits, guinea pigs and alpacas, have their faces painted, take part in a treasure hunt and do a drumming session amongst other activities.
Opened in 2004, Redland Nursery is managed by Barnardo’s and currently has 66 children, aged between two-five-years-old, on its roll.
It was recently rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted and is open Monday-Friday from 8am-6pm.
