FIRE crews attended two fires in three days across Calne and the surrounding area last week and police are now appealing for witnesses to stop the recent spate of attacks.
The first was reported on Thursday, April 7 when youths were seen messing around in several disused sheds in Abberd Way, near to Sand Pit Road, at 6.54pm.
On arrival police found the shed on fire and despite being extinguished by fire crews it collapsed during the blaze.
A further fire was reported in a barn in Marsh Lane, Cherhill at 3.29pm on Saturday (Apr 9) where police found two hay bells had been set alight.
The fire then spread within the barn with a wooden tractor trailer being caught up in the flames causing several hundred pounds worth of damage.
