A FORMER Chippenham school pupil who has become an internet sensation after starting her own fashion and beauty blog will be appearing on Channel 5’s hit TV programme, The Gadget Show.

Simone Partner graduated with a law degree from the University of Reading in 2014, but decided to do a complete career U-turn and set up, Eltoria, a fashion, beauty and lifestyle blog and YouTube channel.

The 23-year-old has since obtained more than 35,000 followers across social media, has had 2million hits on Google and is also a finalist in this year’s UK Blog Awards for best Beauty and Fashion blogger and Vlogger 2016.

“I went from doing a law degree which I didn’t like very much and took a drastic turn and I started blogging last year,” said the 23-year-old, who studied at Abbeyfield School in Chippenham.

“It was completely new for me, like designing the web page and learning about SEO but it started as a hobby and I got more attraction from brands and it’s nice to get the recognition."

Miss Partner will feature on the Channel 5 programme, which is due to be aired at 7pm tomorrow (Friday, March 4), where she will look at new gadgets for bloggers and vloggers, alongside presenters Ortis Deley, Jason Bradbury and Olympian Amy Williams.

“It was really good, I would say probably one of the best days of my life,” said Miss Partner.

“I’m a massive follower of Ortis Deley so to meet him especially was like an ‘oh my god moment’.

“I’m in London now and I don’t know what time I’m going to be back on Friday so I don’t know when I will watch it but I imagine my parents will be.

“They are quite old fashioned, they don’t quite understand the whole internet thing and they were unsure about me doing it when I started but they have been really supportive of me.”

Miss Partner will travel to London for the UK Blog Awards ceremony in April and continues to work with her partner Joe Menghini’s Cre8ive Studios in Calne, which creates professional images on her blog and YouTube channel.

“My next move is just to keep on networking and try and get into TV presenting,” added Miss Partner.

“My advice to anyone is just do what you love, if you have got the passion just go for it.

“I believe if you have the passion you can succeed on the internet you just need to find the space because there are so many bloggers and vloggers.”
