A WOMAN who received a ‘life-changing’ treatment in reflexology after suffering from stress was left so impressed she decided to learn the skill herself so she could give the same experience to others.

Gabriela Slater is the newest recruit at The Wellbeing Clinic in London Road, Marlborough and has five years of experience in reflexology. She trained at the International Institute of Reflexology in London.

Reflexology is a form of complementary medicine and involves a method of treatment using massage to reflex areas in feet and hands.

This month, the 41-year-old joined the team of practitioners when she moved her practice from Dandelion Wellbeing in Hungerford.

Before the mother-of-two became qualified in reflexology, she was suffering from stress, insomnia, and fatigue. She was already a qualified nutritional therapist and following her reflexology treatment, gaining skills in reflexology was a natural progression, she said.

Ms Slater, who also runs Nu Reflexology, added: “It’s a great opportunity to be part of a clinic with such skilled therapists. The clinic offers a wide variety of treatments and also sells fantastic products in the shop.

“Recently I introduced couple of new services – facial reflexology and advanced facelift massage; both treatments are very popular with my clients.”

She also offers traditional, fertility, maternity and hot stone reflexology.

Jill Sudbury, owner of The Wellbeing Clinic added: “We are very pleased to welcome Gabriela to our team; she is a highly qualified and very experienced therapist. Her treatments are tailor made to each individual, using all the different reflexology techniques she has learned over the years.”

The Wellbeing Clinic was founded in 1997 and recently moved to 4 London Road, Marlborough.
