A GROUP of Devizes businesswomen have come together to celebrate the first anniversary of a hair salon.

Kerry Gover, founder of the Pinkbox Boutique, was one of five women celebrating the first birthday of Devizes hair salon, Lucy’s Hair Boutique, last Saturday.

Lucy’s Hair Boutique, in the High Street, Devizes, was founded by Lucy Croucher.

Miss Croucher, 30, of Devizes, said: “I am so grateful to the clients and other businesswomen who have supported Lucy’s Hair Boutique and made this first year so amazing.

“The turnout for the event was incredible and the salon was full to the brim. Myself and my colleague Heidi Stockhill did demonstrations to our clients. The clients had a complimentary raffle ticket and left with a goodie box.”

One of Miss Croucher’s first customers was Mrs Gover of Pinkbox, based in Coate.

Mrs Gover said: “I’ve been a customer of Lucy’s for almost as long as she has been qualified and it’s been a real joy to see her develop her career and to then see her open and run her own successful business. I was thrilled to be asked to join her event to celebrate her achievements.”

Alongside Mrs Gover, Mrs Croucher was joined by Taylor-Jane Hancock of fashion clothing store The Wardrobe and Abigail Wallen of So Simply Darling which offers handmade personalised gifts and homeware. Her colleague Heidi Stockhill, who works in the salon, also helped with demonstrations of hair styling on the night.
