MP Claire Perry is encouraging people to support Small Business Saturday by shopping at local independent businesses this weekend.

The campaign highlights small business success stories and encourages people to shop in local, small, independent businesses and use local services instead of national brands.

Many businesses across the area are involved, including Local Uncovered and Pewsey Vale Tourism which is working with businesses to tempt people in and help drive footfall to Pewsey Vale.

Ms Perry said: “Small businesses are such a vital and vibrant part of Britain with a record 5.4 million small businesses in the UK, providing jobs for nearly 26 million people.

“The success of our economy is built on the hard work and determination of the people who run and work for them. That is why I am making a big effort this Saturday and in the run up to Christmas to support as many local businesses as I can.”
