ANTHONY Howells will appear at Swindon Crown Court on November 13 charged with five vehicle-related offences committed on Saturday, October 10.
Howells, 32, is charged with aggravated vehicle taking, driving while disqualified, driving a vehicle and failing to stop after a road accident, failing to stop when required by an officer and using a vehicle without third party insurance.
The scaffolder, of Reid’s Piece, Purton, appeared at Swindon Magistrates' Court yesterday and gave no indication of plea when he was read the charges.
Cathy Thornton, defending Howells, made an application for bail on his behalf, but this was refused by chairman Martyn Cook.
