MOTHER, grandmother and business owner Kerry Gover, of Devizes, has been chosen as one of the UK’s top 100 Mumpreneurs for 2015.

The 45- year-old managing director of PinkBox Boutique, the Wiltshire-based shopping party and online gift shop, was recently named one of the top 100 female entrepreneurs who are also parents. She will receive her award, alongside the other 99, in November.

Mrs Gover said: “It’s fantastic to be recognised in this way. I run my own business so I can balance supporting my daughters and my granddaughters whilst also maintaining a challenging and successful career, both of which are important to me.”

Mrs Gover set up PinkBox Boutique in 2013, originally with her daughter Harriet who has since set up her own photography business. The aim was to sell unique, good quality but affordable gifts through a party plan and an online shop, while supporting producers, many of whom are in the UK.

The Mumpreneur Awards are launched each year by Mumpreneur Magazine to recognise excellence for women in businesses who are juggling parenthood or childcare responsibilities. The top 100 are invited to the annual Mumpreneur conference in November.

Speakers at this year’s event include model and business woman Caprice Bourret, cookery author Annabel Karmel MBE and restaurant owner Yasmina Siadata, who won the BBC’s The Apprentice in 2009. Also speaking will be ten-year-old entrepreneur Henry Patterson, founder of children’s brand Not Before Tea.

The seventh annual Mumpreneur Awards will be taking place on Saturday, November 15. Thirteen deserving winners will walk away with one of the coveted awards as they are announced the best of the best in their category. Tickets are available from http://www.mumpreneuruk.com/awards
