NURSES and therapists looking for a new challenge are invited to attend a recruitment day at Savernake Hospital in Marlborough.

The event, taking place on Friday, 16 October, between 2pm and 7pm, is an opportunity for both newly-qualified and experienced healthcare professionals to join the team at the Marlborough hospital and also the teams providing care in people’s own homes across Wiltshire.

Those coming along on the day will have the opportunity to meet the staff of Ailesbury Ward, Savernake’s 26-bed inpatient ward, and have a tour of the building before sitting an interview for one of the exciting positions available.

The Trust is looking for staff nurses and advanced nurse practitioners to join the team at Savernake while community nurses are being sought to join the teams treating patients outside of the traditional hospital setting.

Oonagh Fitzgerald, director of human resources, said: “I would encourage any nurse interested in broadening his or her horizons to attend this fantastic event, at a hospital that is known locally for its professionalism and high quality.

“Nursing is an incredibly rewarding profession and we can provide colleagues with excellent opportunities to further develop their skills to help them reach their full potential.”

Newly qualified nurses joining the ranks in Marlborough will benefit from an in-house preceptorship programme, complete with study leave, as well as a fully supported induction period with a named mentor.

Those interested in more flexible working arrangements are also encouraged to attend as there are positions available for registered nurses, podiatrists and therapists within the Bank, the Trust’s internal staffing agency.
