Wiltshire Police are appealing for information following an alleged sexual assault in Calne.
A young local woman was allegedly sexually assaulted by a man in the area of Abberd Lane on the evening of Thursday, between 8pm and 9pm.
The suspect is described as a white man, around 5’7” and aged in his mid to late teens. He was of average build, had dark hair, brown eyes and big dark eyebrows. He was wearing black rimmed sunglasses, a dark jacket and black trainers.
The victim is receiving specialist support from sexual offence liaison officers from Wiltshire Police.
A 16-year-old local male has been arrested on suspicion of the sexual assault and has been released on police bail pending further inquiries.
DS Ian Magrath said: ‘We would like to hear from anyone who was in the area of Abberd Lane between 8-9:00 pm on Thursday 30th July, or anyone who has information based on the description of the suspect. It is important that people come forward as they may have vital information."
