Table dancing and pole dancing will be on offer in Devizes at a new nightclub in the former Rising Sun pub.
The pub's lease has been bought by Andy Waters who is renaming the premises, Connections.
By day it will be a pub but in the evenings it will become a nightclub.
Mr Waters, 43, also owns the Ghost Train pub in Purton near Swindon but this will be his first nightclub.
He said: "Connections will be based on Stringfellows nightclub. It's going to be a good experience for Devizes.
"There will be a bit of table dancing and there might be the odd pole around. It will not be a full-time thing."
He said the female staff would not be scantily clad but added: "We have got some gorgeous looking girls going to be there."
He said many other towns had venues for pole dancing and lap dancing.
He said: "I don't think it will be a bad thing. Swindon has got it along with lots of major towns. It will be done in the best possible taste and I can't see any harm in it.
"Devizes is a growing town and it's got some smashing pubs. I like the town but thought there was something lacking and thought it could do with another nightclub."
The premises, owned by Punch Taverns, is undergoing a refurbishment and Mr Waters said Connections would open in three to four weeks time.
He said during the day the premises would be a pub selling food and in the evenings there would be a snack menu.
He intends to create a seating area at the back of the pub and put a marquee outside.
The venue has a late license to operate until 2.30am on Friday and Saturday nights. Mr Waters said he would be keen to extend that to 3am in the future.
He is also thinking of putting on a teenage disco one night a week.
Mr Waters and his wife, Carol, have run the Ghost Train pub in Purton for nine weeks.
It is a traditional village pub and last week it held a medieval banquet with proceeds going to Cancer Research and the Special Care Baby Unit at the Great Western Hospital.
Mr Waters said he intends to run charity events at Connections.
He has had six years in the licensing trade and his previous pubs were in Swindon, at the Royal Oak in Old Town and The Worthington in Nythe.
The Rising Sun's previous owner Gary MacMartin left last September to concentrate on his two other pubs.
The other nightclub in Devizes is The Exchange, which is held on Saturday nights at the Corn Exchange for over 18s.
It used to be run on behalf of Devizes Town Council but now the Corn Exchange is hired by Stanley Kelman.
