Easter fun at libraries

There's a fun-packed programme of activities for children this Easter at Wiltshire County Council's libraries.

The events range from chocolate hunts to storie telling time.

Joan Davis, head of customer services in libraries, said: "Wiltshire's libraries are hosting a wide range of fun events for children and parents during the Easter break.

"Libraries are a key part of the community and we hope by providing entertaining activities such as these we will be making sure they meet the needs of local people."

Calne Library

• The Big Chocolate Hunt takes place until April 14. Children are invited to find and answer the questions hidden in the children's library for the chance to win a chocolaty prize.
  
  
• There will be Easter crafts on Thursday, April 5 from 2pm to 3.30pm. People of all ages are invited to drop in for some crafty fun.
  
  
• There will be a special rabbit story time from 11.20am to 12 midday on Friday, April 13.
  
  
• Stories, teddies, torches and pyjamas will be essential for a spooky pyjama party on Friday, April 13 from 6pm to 7pm.

Corsham Library

• On Thursday, April 12 between 10.30am and 11.30am pre-school children are invited to story time activities with a Farmyard Jamboree.
  
  
• Story time activities for four to seven-year-olds involving The Gigantic Turnip will take place on the same day from 2.30pm to 4pm.
  
  All the activities are free although it may be necessary to book places as some events have limited places.
