DEVIZES firm Easy Move Sheets switched from sewing to cooking this week to raise money for Parkinson’s UK.

A team at the company, that manufactures specially designed bed sheets to aid mobility in bed, has been hard at work baking cakes to sell to companies on the Hopton Park Trading Estate where it is based.

The team also made special pinnies, chef’s hats and bunting to add to the fun.

Design director Jane Allen said: “Our girls baked lots of lovely homemade cakes and delivered them usherette-style to businesses on Hopton Estate, raising £250 for Parkinson’s UK.

“We chose the charity as many of our customers have Parkinson’s and our low friction sheets make it much easier to turn and reposition in bed.

Our cake bake was a small way of supporting the fantastic work that Parkinson’s UK does for the people and their families who have to deal with Parkinson’s every day.”

Mrs Allen said the team is hoping to wear the pinnies and hats as part of more charity work for Parkinson’s UK in the future.
