EDUCATION secretary Nicky Morgan visited Chippenham on Monday to speak to the headteachers of Sheldon and Hardenhuish schools.
Neil Spurdell, head at Sheldon School, and Jan Hatherell, head at Hardenhuish, met the education secretary to discuss Conservative commitments to fairer school funding.
The pair, along with Malmesbury School head Tim Gilson, have previously written an open letter warning of insufficient funding for the North Wiltshire schools.
They said that in the future, staff who leave may not be replaced in a bid to reduce costs.
The current level of provision at the three schools would be extremely difficult to maintain the trio have claimed due to a significant rise in costs for the coming academic year.
The education secretary is looking to be re-elected as an MP in Loughborough after winning the seat in 2010 by less than 4,000 votes. She replaced Michael Gove as education secretary in July 2014.
