EARLY bird buyers and sellers can make the most of one of Wiltshire's biggest charity car boot sales on May 16.

A country house boot sale at Stert, near Devizes, is the main fundraiser of the year for the Devizes committee of Cancer Research UK and prides itself on having top notch goods for sale.

This year people who want to take one of the 100 pitches will pay £25 if they book before Ma9, which is the same as last year, or the price will rise to £40 after than date.

Buyers will pay £5 per car from 8.30am but bargain hunters who want to get the best deals can pay £10 per car and have special entry from 7.30am.

The event has raised between £4,000 and £5,000 per year for the last five years.

Committee Chairman, Clive Boyes, said: “We hope to see as many buyers as in past years because, not only is it a chance to but items rarely seen at car boot sales, but it is a great way to donate to Cancer Research helping to find a cure for an illness that touches one in three of our lives.”

Refreshments will be available to buy on the site and toilets will also be available. Stert Church is also opening its doors to sell tea, coffee and home made cakes.
