HARRIETTE Beazer is looking for love with the help of presenter Paddy McGuinness on the latest series of ITV game show Take Me Out.
The 22-year-old from Gastard, near Corsham, will appear on the programme in the hope that she will be whisked away for a date in the sunshine with Mr Right.
The trainee quantity surveyor applied to be on the show, which is in its seventh series, for a bit of fun and the chance of romance after previous heartache.
She said: “I have the worst luck. I have been in two fairly long-term relationships, but they didn’t end amicably. Every guy I’ve met since ended up being disasters.”
The show involves 35 girls each standing on stage beneath a white light.
An eligible bachelor comes down onto the set in the ‘love lift’. Through a series of interviews and challenges, the girls can decide to keep their light on in the hoping of winning a date with him, or turn off their light if they are not interested. If more than one girl leaves her light on, he chooses which one he prefers.
Miss Beazer applied for the series last February and was invited to an audition in Bristol in August before filming in Maidstone Studios, Kent, in November over the space of 10 days.
Her ideal man is actor Channing Tatum or football legend David Beckham. She said: “It’s a once in a lifetime opportunity. It was a surreal experience. I was thrust into a room with 35 women, all single and looking for a date.”
Miss Beazer will appear on the show from Saturday, February 7, but will be at a Take Me Out reunion in Manchester that day, so will have to wait to hear her friends and family’s reaction before she watches it.
