I would like to say a big thank you to all the volunteers and members of the Baptist Church, Sheep Street, Devizes, who did such a wonderful job of cooking the Christmas dinner for people who would have been on their own on Christmas Day. Also thanks go to all the lovely people who donated vegetables, home-made cakes, mince pies, boxes of biscuits, tins of sweets, Age Concern for their goodie bags, plus the deputy mayor and family for helping.
Every effort was made to make the guests feel welcome and have an enjoyable day. It was much appreciated and I would like to say a special thank you also to Community First for providing the transport, especially on Christmas Day, otherwise some people wouldn’t have been able to come and to Aster Community Zone 25 for funding this event.
Here’s wishing you all a happy New Year and thank you.
Jeannette Von Berg, Chairman, Aster Community Zone 25.
