November 27 is going to be an historic day for residents of the Malmesbury area. We will have an opportunity to vote yes for our own Local Plan which Wiltshire Council will be compelled to take into account when making decisions.
The plan has been worked on by local people for nearly three years and all residents have had the opportunity to put their comments forward and have their say.
It includes everything from housing for the elderly, local school places, housing – general and affordable, retail, provision for the doctors and also the design and look of any new housing.
On November 27 there will be the first ever Neighbourhood Plan referendum in Wiltshire and it is vital that residents show their support for Malmesbury by voting yes and for the adjacent areas of Brokenborough and St Paul Without, who are also part of the plan.
Graham and Ann Webb, Malmesbury.
