A Chippenham charity is in with a chance to win a slice of £150,000 as part of Yorkshire Building Society’s 150th anniversary celebrations.
The Wilts & Berks Canal Trust applied for a £10,000 donation from the Society’s Lasting Legacy Fund and is one of 30 charities to make the public vote.
If successful they would use the cash to repair a collapsed 200-year-old brick culvert under the restored canal at Pewsham.
The public have until Friday October 31 to vote for their favourite cause online at www.ybs.co.uk/legacy
