Corsham Neighbourhood Policing Team has officially moved to its new base at Springfield Campus.

However, just three days after moving, scratches, dents and footprints were found on one of the police vehicles in the car park.

The damage to the vehicle happened between 5pm on Saturday and 8.30am the following day. CCTV is being reviewed and police have appealed for any witnesses.

The team made the transfer from their old office in Priory Street to their new base on Wednesday last week, located on the second floor of the Springfield building.

Police and Crime Commissioner for Wiltshire, Angus MacPherson, has said the move is a “significant milestone” in using public buildings to share services.

He also expressed how the partnership of Wiltshire Council and Wiltshire Police meant old offices could be swapped for more modern, efficient work spaces and how the new location is more beneficial for the community.

He said: “Springfield is the first of Wiltshire Council’s community campuses and it looks set to attract residents of all ages from Corsham and surrounding villages.

“It makes good sense for our Constabulary to be located where the people they serve are coming and going.”

Anyone with information about the damaged vehicle incident can contact police on 101.
